I decided to give E buggy a try and wanted something a little different.  After a lot of reading I decided on the JQ Proucts The eCar.  I'm hopig to have it ready for the LERCS race in October.

he's got a bit of a sense of humour, lol!  What's inside looks pretty nice too! Everything is packaged really well, looks like it will be a good build

that is a good set up guide, I'll be printing that one up to keep with me.

I've got some more of the build done, it's been going together quite well, the fit and finish have been quite good.  One little thing I liked was the groove they put on the shock collars, it'll help with tuning he shocks.

The front and rear assemblies, I still have to tune the shocks, I'm waiting on some shock oil to come in

and I'm at an almost complete chassis, only 2 more bags of parts to go.  I used some LOSI battery straps I had, I've read that the supplied ones don't last.

And this has to be the shortest dogbone I've ever had in a car

I like the groove in the shock collar, I usually paint a stripe on mine.
The Tekno buggy has a similar short dogbone..

I'm going to try and have it ready, if not then I should for LERCS. I want to have at least one race on it to get an idea on how it handles.

well the build is done, it went together really well.

but...there was one problem, the plate that mounts to the motor was NFG!  It looks like a chip was under it when they did the final machining and it in 0.6mm out of square, with the motor bolted up it wouldn't slide into the mount.  I sent an email to JQ and they got back to me within an hour, 6 minutes after sending my shipping info they had a replacement in the mail from the factory!  It sucks that it happened but the service has been great!

thanks Sean, come on by any time! I was happy with it the first race, but I don't have anything to compare it too since it's the first ebuggy I have raced. I want to get a little more track time with the base set up then I'll be picking your brain for set up advise!  Laughing
